SSC CHSL Syllabus
Staff Selection Commission(SSC) conducts SSC CHSL Exam in three phases that are tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3. Each phase needs to clear to get selected in various posts in government departments.
SSC CHSL tier 1 is conducted in online mode (multiple choice objective paper) while tier 2 is conducted in pen and paper mode (descriptive paper in English/Hindi) and tier 3 is computer skill test (typing speed test).

SSC CHSL Syllabus For Tier - 1
SSC CHSL tier 1 comprises 100 questions with a maximum of 200 marks and an allotted time of 60 minutes. SSC CHSL tier 1 syllabus is divided into four sections of each 25 questions with a maximum mark of 50. Each question carries 2 marks and there is also a negative marking of 0.5 for each wrong answer.

SSC CHSL General Intelligence and Reasoning Syllabus
As mentioned above, this paper test the writing skill of the candidates. This paper requires candidates for writing an Essay/Letter/Application.
The Essay topic will be related to social issues, politics, national interest, Ecological issues, Finance and Economics, Schemes and governance, Technology, sports, Geopolitics, Environmental issues.
While the Letter / Application / will be asked from the topics like complaints, suggestions, official appreciation, Application, follow, or feedback.
Candidates have to score 33% (33 marks) to qualify for the SSC CHSL tier 2 Exam.
SSC CHSL tier 2 exam is both qualifying and scoring.
SSC CHSL Tier 3 willbe Skill test / Typing test. It is only qualifyina g nature test. The final merit list will be based on the basis ofbased on the total number obtained in both tier 1 and tier 2.

Data Entry Speed of 8000 key depressions per hour on the computer. The ‘speed will be adjudged on the basis of the correct entry of words/key depressions as per the given passage
The duration of the test will be for 15 minutes and printed matter in English containing about 2000-2200 key-depressions would be given to each candidate who would enter the same in the test computer
Data Entry Operator in the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG)
The ‘speed of 15000 key depressions per hour will be adjudged on the basis of the correct entry of words/key depressions as per the given passage
The duration of the test will be for 15 minutes and printed matter in English containing about 3700-4000 key-depressions would be given to each candidate who would enter the same in the test computer
Lower Division Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (LDS/JSA) and Postal Assistants/ Sorting Assistants (PA/SA)
The speed of 10500 key depressions per hour will be adjudged on the basis of the correct entry of words/key depressions as per the given passage
The duration of the test will be for 15 minutes and printed matter in English containing about 9000 key-depressions/hour would be given to each candidate who would enter the same in the test computerthe .
